MOLSYS 3rd Scientific Day
24 January 2025
The 3rd edition of the Molecular Systems Research Unit took place on January 24th, 2025.
This edition gathered 95 attendees: academics, scientific staff, postdocs, PhD students, as well as bachelor/master students in chemistry.
The MOLSYS Director, Prof. Gauthier Eppe, started the day by introducing the MOLSYS RU, welcoming new members and evidencing many accomplishments for the research teams and members of MOLSYS over the past year.
PROGRAM
Session 1
> Prof. Gauthier Eppe (Director): Introduction to MOLSYS
> Florian Barbaz (CiTOS): Continuous flow strategies for the glycerol valorization
> Shouryo Ghose (Theoretical Physical Chemistry): Effect of External Mechanical Force on a Tethered Mechanophore: Role of Tether and Solvent
Session 2
> Mohammed Zain Aldin (Catalysis): Synthesis, Characterization, and Applications of Ruthenium(II) Complexes Bearing 1,1-Dithiolate Ligands
> Evan Seyssens (MSLab): Characterization of (Bio-active) Peptides by Capillary Electrophoresis coupled with (Ion Mobility) Mass Spectrometry
Session 3
> Thibault Massenet (OBiAChem): Breathomics: A Breath of Fresh Air for Modern Diagnostics
> Anthony Bevitch (NanoChem): Exploring the mechanochemistry of Furan-Maleimide Diels Alder Adducts
> Thomas Crasset (MSLab): Development of an innovative magnetic bead-based methodology to enhance antivenomics capabilities
The scientific presentations, by 7 speakers, showed the research led in the different laboratories of our Reasearch Unit. This research was also presented by PhD students during the poster sessions.
